Two comprehensive Educational trainings were conducted for the ‘Umang’ summer school that hosted 51 selected students (classes 6-10) from interior naxalite-infested villages of the district. This area sees hardly any access to electricity and the students mostly only used kerosene lamps that are hugely detrimental to health. This initiative delivered science, design and technology learning and exposure, not only providing the participants with the take-back of a sustainable light source but also cultivating in many the interest to pursue solar and electrical engineering as formal or vocational careers.See Pictures
